The exhaust on our YJ Wrangler let go up near the front and now it sounds like a racecar, it even crackles and pops on the overrun and everything! (It's the AMC 4.2 I6, by the way, not the 4.0 that everyone associates with Jeeps).

Hopefully it won't lean out the mixture too much and cause engine damage. In old school carbureted engines that's what would happen. Thank god for fuel injection.

It doesn't matter. The engine is already on it's way out and we've got a new one waiting to be installed. All the better reason to have fun with this one while we can and just hoon it into the ground!
